| Description | Red; flattened; with two vertical loop handles on body; decorated with tadpole in relief. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a lentoid body, flaring neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. There is a raised animal (card says: tadpole) on the body beneath the neck. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. There are striations visible on the exterior surface. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1895." |
