Description | Hourglass type: La Kuude. Wood, painted black; traces of white in carving. Carved decoration: deep zigzags of toothed lines (crocodile jaws?), wavy lines, bands of chevrons, mounds filled with dentate bands. Loop handle on side. Upper side inset to hold drumhead (missing). |
