Description

Sommerville: Carnelian Onyx. Youn Germanicus, son of Nero Claudius Drusus BC 15. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case E.

Vermeule: Carnelian-Onyx. Cameo. (unmounted) Bust of a youth to left. The features copied from coin portraits of Drusus, the son of Tiberius. Sommerville identifies the subject as "young Germanicus, son of Nero Claudius Drusus, B.C. 15th". 16th or 17th century.
