Description | For construction cf. Parkinson, Dreissig Jahre..., Fig. 82, 1st spear on left, and Frizzi, Baessler-Archiv, Sup. VI (1914), Fig. 64, esp. 8th spear from left. Two groups of bone barbs, the upper of 11 tiers of 4 each increasing in length downwards; the lower, 7 tiers of 4 each, short barbs of uniform length. For succession of remaining features of carved and applied ornament, cf. 29-89-172. The globular bulge in this case is dyed red without gum encrustation. The incised ornament includes 2 faces with a combination of oblong figures and of chevrons combining to form an encircling zigzag line. |
