Description | The door frame consists of two heavy wooden carved door posts and two uncarved wooden cross pieces that fit them. Each door post is made from a rectangular block cut so that is has an L shaped crossection. The outer surfaces are carved in deep chisled looking relief and fit on the front and side of the house. The design is in varying numbers of horizontal ridges. Each register is ornamented with one of two designs. The first is a row of elongated human figures with bent arms and legs that connect all the figures horizontally. The other is a vertical elipse joined to an outward facing semi elipse on each side with a background of ridges and bumps. |
