Description | Skein winder used for forming skeins of silk or cotton in lieu of using a thread frame (เปีบ). The base is T-shaped, made of two pieces of wood. Out of the top of the bisected part of "T", two wooden pieces project (one on each side). One of the pieces has a hole and the other has a deep notch. Through these runs a small wooden piece with a handle on one end; this piece can spin around. On the wood piece between the projecting pieces are four long pieces of bamboo with pegs that connect their ends. |
