Description | A fired clay drinking water jug for guests. It has a short, wide, squat body with heart-shaped impressions on the body. The shoulder has two rings of stamped designs. The first is vertical lines and the second is a pinwheel design. The long narrow neck ends in a small mouth. The heart-shaped pattern is not typical. At the time of its acquisition in 1981, Mr. Li Hirionatha (Lung Li ลุงลี), the principal informant, said he had never seen this heart shape before on ceramics. There are black marks from an outdoor firing process. (there is no soot present). |
