Description | For a man of noble class, worn well above the knees, red and white in alternating broad and narrow stripes and red cross stripes forming bands, rows of conventualized figures in red, yellow, green and dark blue cotton. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 56 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, red, white cotton. Weft: 30 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, white and red cotton. Warp plain weave. Brocading single faced. Made on a backstrap loom." |
