Description | Woman's buckskin dress. Long; sewed up sides. Short, wide, open sleeves. Upper section colored yellowish, lower part plain with faint blue marks and heavier red ones. Elongated corners. Bottom and sleeves fringed, and buckskin strings attached in several places. Metal bangles at lower corners. Bands of geometric rectilinear designs in glass beads of many colors across sleeves and breast. Several pendants of large glass beads and dentalium. Separate beaded belt attached with beaded knife sheath, bag, and awl case, all of rectilinear designs on buckskin base; awl case mainly blue, others mainly white. |
