Description | Symmetrical design composed of four sets of facing birds in yellow, blue, and green beads set against a white background with braided red and blue wool fringes ending in green and pink wool pompom tassels. Loom woven in "square weave" technique using cotton warp and weft threads. Warp threads continue beyond beaded portion of sash and are braided into the fringe. Overall condition is good with only spotty warp breakage and consequent bead loss. |
