Description | Male cult bullroarer (diap yawat) (diap=cassowary, yawat == male cult). Made from wild pandanus, with a split cane whirling cord. Whirled from a wand (89-17-102). Produces a sound that is likened to the call of a cassowary. See Kirsch field notes for more data. made by Kutem Buru, Namanggo clan, Dome village. Purchased from maker 12/19/89.
