Description | Intact except for nearly half of lip. Hard buff clay, brown glaze. Closely spaced glaze lines around foot and lower wall, wheel-painted. Another such line part way up lower wall and on upper wall a pair of glaze wheel-painted bands form a frieze or zone in which are two coursing (?) hounds (?). Tongue pattern around shoulder and a fringe pattern around edge of top of lip. Handle banded. |
