Description | Chihuahua Polychrome ware, cracked. Design in brown and red on buff is partly worn off. A globular jar with zonal decoration of oblique parallel lines and the scroll still showing. A pottery porjection above the rim, measuring 5 cm. high and 8 cm. wide, has a human face with lips, chin, eyes, nose, eyebrows and top of head piece in raised relief; red paint still adheres in spots on the face. The rim of the half of the orifice to which the projection is not attached has slightly thickened exterior. |
