Description | Brown, fine-grained with concoidal fracture. Edges are straight near the base and curve inward towards the point. Base is slightly convex. There is a small notch at midpoint. One edge notched at base-tang junction. One surface partially polished near base; other polished near longitudinal axis, from a point near the base almost to the point of the artifact. Some flake scars driven off the base parallel to the longitudinal axis. Tang: edges are straight and perpendicular to base. Tang-tip junction: junction is formed by the intersecting edges of tang and tip elements. Flake scars: not parallel to one another. One surface still retains some of the original flake surface. Cross-section is planoconvex. |
