Model of the red granite Lateran Obelisk, from the Piazza di San Giovanni in Laterano, Rome, Italy; originally from the temple of Karnak, Luxor, Egypt. Moved from Karnak to Alexandria by Constantine the Great, from Alexandria to Circus Maximus in Rome by Constantius II.
