Description | Apollo drawing bow (missing). Standing, left foot advanced, weight on right leg. 3.4 pose, head facing left. Both arms forward, hands near to one another, as if beginning to draw bow. A narrow length of drapery drwn forward from behind back and looped over both upper arms. Otherwise naked. Hair drawn back from forehead and falling down back and on top of shoulders, bound with a narrow fillet. Eyes inlaid. Original found at Pompeii. |
