Description | Intact. Deep Corinthian type skyphos on a wide ring foot grooved at its upper and lower edges. Entirely covered with rather dull black glaze, except for a zone above the foot, reserved and reddened. Decoration added in white and purple: front, garland of ivy leaves and berries in the handle zone, bordered above and below by double lines; below, a horizontal band of purple over a double white line and a band of white pendants. Back, a conventional tendril - white line bordered above and below by dots - in the handle zone. Vertical white stripes on the foot. |
