Description | Damarum-in-Sam. Two ceremonial drums and stick. Pair joined at bottom by stick and at top by two hide strings. Skin heads on both ends of each drum held in place by hide strips running from top to bottom and by "rims" of braided hide strips. Wood bodies, brown in color. Top head diameter 24 cm. each. Fair condition, wood cracked, skin and hide strips dry and brittle. Stick missing. |
