Description | Fine cloth of gobelin. Made in strips with many small warriors with staff and with two styles of narrow (1/2") borders on the same warp. With a wider (1.75") border at right angles and tapestry-tab fringe. Many fragment (7 pieces) Fragments of a tapestry weave. When survey was done on 3/2012, there were two large fragments to review. Was not measured. Design is the repetition of panels (a row of figures with headdress and staff flanked by three narrow decorative borders) A row of a border with weft fringe was added. Colors are vibrant and weaving fine. Update: 4/5/2012: a housing was found with 3 textile fragments in it with this number. The box was placed with the other fragments wrapped in tyvek, so they would be near each other. Color(s): Red, yellow, rose, blue, white, brown and black. |
