Description | Variant of type of 29-89-3. The base of the "heart-shaped" extremity of the point is cut back deeply forming a pair of sharp-pointed barbs. The simple incised rings behind this extremity have given rise to three swellings of which the largest (middle) one is bisected by a notch, so that all five of the incised rings are still represented. Behind this ornament the point is wrapped with yellow plant cuticle, which also occurs on the tip and at the base of the point. Shaft markings: 2d to 5th (from butt) internodes have design shown in Frizzi, Baessler Archiv, Sup. VI (1914), fig. 61, 2d drawing from right, 3d internode from bottom, without the definite open areas between groups of lines; 6th internode has slightly simplified form of next internode below in this drawing. |
