Description | Miniature tourist example of hide shadow puppet of monkey soldier from Rama's army. The crowned and monkey-faced figure holds up one arm in front and the other behind bearing a sword. Legs are spread as if running. Hide is perforated to form figure and below "chalad va???ita." Puppet is painted black with two sticks tied on with string for support and handles. Base has label which says "Charmpooyarbch". |
