Description | Ceremonial spear (marat). Single piece of black palm, with a flat blade and a flat flange near center. Decorations of cassowary feather, white feather (unidentifed species). sago shoot and human hair. Some terra cotta, ochre and white decorative markings. This spear is in the Mandobo tradtion. It was made by Benedictus Nogawon and Anselmos Yibi and purchased from Nonggong Buyp. |
