Description | Sommerville: Siberian jasper. Incognito. Gold Rings - Cameos, Case RRR. Vermeule 1: Red and green jasper. Cameo. Modern gold ring with rope like band. Fillet draped bust of male to right. Features present an Italian XIXth century version of IVth century Greek type. Italian, 18th or 19th century. Vermeule 2: Siberian Jasper Cameo (Gold? ring setting) "Incognito says Sommerville. Filleted draped bust of woman to right, the features and type are those used for Graeco-Egyptian queens and Museus in Alexandrine art of the Hellenistic period. Probably 19th century |
