Description | Complete except for two large chips from lip. Spherical body, bottom mounded. Tall, narrow neck and widely projecting disk lip. One vertical band handle. Three bands around widest part of body: purple between two glaze bands. On shoulder, vertical tongues. Handle banded. Traces of fringe pattern on upper face of lip. Buff clay, somewhat metallic black glaze, slightly peeled. |
