Description | Full-length figure of a girl, wearing only girdle and boots. The coiffure consists of four wide plaited tresses, looped together at the sides of the head, in pairs. The 3 "neck rings" [see 37-22-268] are carved into a pair of lozenges behind. Damaged: the foot part of the boots, the prominent navel, part of one hand, one loop of the coiffure having been knocked off. Also the wear of other prominent parts of the carving shows considerable age. For employment see 37-22-280. This Kambe was originally the property of the grandmother of Boi Yenkin, who was Tthettha Mama or head woman of the Yasi at Yoni, many years ago. |
