Description | Short pointed end, ovoid-shaped body, no nozzle; impressed molded decoration of a herring bone/garland on the sides, diagonal lines around the aperture, three grooves on the "handle," and six grooves under the nozzle aperture; light brown ware with traces of red wash on the upper surface; nozzle aperture is blackened by use. Card says found with Byzantine lamps. |
