Description | Ribbon loom. Made not later than 1930. One set of warp threads passed through holes, one through slots. One end of threads fastened to nail in wall, other end held in toes. Weaver shifted warp by raising or lowering comb. Holes in bottom for attaching Chinese coins or other noise makers. Ribbons for decoration of men's short pants (serova mone'). Wood, with seven slots & eight holes across middle. Five holes in top, one hole in bottom. |
