Description

Painting in gold and blue color on silk. Image depicts the Thirteen Butsu (十三仏) deities popular in Shingon Buddhism. These are comprised of five Buddhas, seven Bodhisattvas, and a widsom king, Fudō Myō-ō. A painting like this is associated with funeral and memorial rights and services.
