Description | Mughal ganjifa cards representing different aspects of the Mughal court. There are eight suits with twelve cards in each suit, ten numeral cards and two court cards. One of the court cards doesn't belong to this set making it a total of 95 cards. The suits are the following: taj (crown) on a brown background, safed (silver) on a black background, shamsher (sword) on a red background, ghulam (servant) on a yellow background, chang (harp) on a green background, surkh (gold) on a green background, barat (document) on a red background, and qimash (merchandise) on a yellow background (missing court card). The box has a sliding lid with a floral design. |
