Sommerville: Oriental alabster. Decebalus, King of the Dacians. Cameos, Case IIII.

Vermeule: Oriental Alabaster. Cameo. (Unmounted) Copy from an Aurelian relief incorporated in the Arch of Constantine, Rome. The emperor Marcus Aureliux standing to right, on an estrade extending his hand in a gesture of clemency toward a group of barbarians who are being led into his presence by Roman legionaires.
