Description | Sommerville: Onyx. Marciana, sister of Trajan. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case R. Vermeule: Onyx. Cameo. (Unmounted). Bust of a lady of late Egyptian classical type facing to left. She wears her hair in elaborate curls, a double fillet in her hair and a conical cap. She cannot possibly be Marceanna, sister of Trajan as Sommerville suggests. Neo-Classic. |
