Description | Large species (113C) is raw material for ornamental discs (see 67-5-84 and 67-5-115). Flat end only used for discs, the half-round form of which are used as a kind of currency and for inlay in carvings and canoes to enhance their value. Small species (113A, 113B) with reddish lip are used for inlay when red color is needed. See red inlay on 67-5-142 |
