Description | With tapestry border sewed on. Design square with diagonal stepped concentric squares and dot; yellow, blue and light blue. Open work, geometric. very fragile Fragment shows one join between two webs. Appears to be the arm aperture and side seam. Poncho main section would have been in a plain weave while the applied trim is in a tapestry weave. The side seam and arm aperture is stitched in blue, red and yellow thread. Color(s): Plain weave undyed main section. Seam and binding around arm aperture are done in threads of tan, red and blue. Tapestry bottom edge in blue, red and tan. |
