Description | An oblong porous basket with a curved bottom, thin handle, and a bowl-like end. Fermented fish (pla daek-ปลาแดก) is placed in the basket which is then dipped into a boiling soup or curry to impart flavor. The dregs are then removed. A Mrs. Angkhana Bunphong (อังคณา บุญพงษ์) donated it. |
