Description | Red bottle, handle missing decorated with crossed painted stripes. Long neck, everted lip Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a globular body, flaring neck, flaring, no handles, and a flat base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel is slipped (orange) and painted white with a grid painted in black. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is buff in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "2811." |
