Bone point, hardwood foreshaft inserted into cane shaft. Junction of point and foreshaft and also of foreshaft and shaft wrapped with plant cuticle covered with white clay. Foreshaft divided into bands, five of them painted red and bordered with narrow bands of black lines. two of the natural bands have decorative designs drawn in black lines.
