Description | Rinko, Tiger, one of a set of four used in Noh dance. Others are A719, A720, A722. Wooden, transverse flute in two sections jointed by peg wrapped in white paper, painted black. Top section has head of tiger carved, painted, gold raised designs on wood between bands of reddish thread, other section has ten holes on top, first two are mouth holes, last two vents, two vent holes in bottom, tail of tiger carved at end. |
