Description | Neck forms base; head at angle. Large grin shows modelled teeth. Incised lines from nose to jaw also show grin. Broad snub nose. Small finely modelled eyes. Narrow band of incising all around face. Thick hair hangs below eyes, texture shows only in back. Hat (?) or topknot on top of head supports inverted U-shaped handle-spout (front to back) straight spout rising from this. Red and black clay highly stone-polished. Chimu influenced, possibly pre-Columbian. |
