Description | Chest. Rectangular in plan, narrower below. Sides plain except for front which is decorated with a relief panel. The second figure from the right is using a plowshare as a weapon: Echetlos at the Battle of Marathon (?). On band above scene some of the letters of an inscription painted in black are visible: ] H O I H A V I I [ A hole with rounded ends, cut in top. Relief scene covered wuth incrustation: red visible beneath it in places. Traces of red and white on lid. |
