Description

Man's Head scarf. Two strips of red cotton cloth with slight dark blue stripes joined by wide randa. Very wide horizontal band of silk embroidery in purple with a little orange, green, yellow and white. Long tassel at each corner.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 68 epi, single, Z twist, red cotton. 2 singles, Z twist, navy cotton. Weft: 34 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplemental weft - two faced. 2 panels - 3 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom."
