Description | Cloth made for tourist trade. Warps and end wefts are red cotton. Mercerized cotton stripes of yellow, green, magenta, rose and three shades of blue. The dark blue ikat with white. Warp ends netted into points and silk tassels added. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 46 epi, single, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: Varied, single and multiple twisted two strand, mercerised cotton and ikat cotton. Supplementary weft is two faced." |
