Description | "Northern Sea-going type", (For shape details see 29-175-354, British Columbia, Haida) Decoration in two shades of blue, black and red. Spined, toothed, open-mouthed fish (?) with a face drawn in tail, stretches entire length of each side. (One is swallow-ing another animal.)Two snakes or eels outlined on each gunwale. One animal drawn on top of stern, two on top of prow. Interior gouge next to gunwales, red. Blue bottom around open square with red outline of fish or shark. |
