Description | Sherd. Sawankhalok Ware. Base of vessel. Raised foot ring. Underglaze circular design, probably a vine motif, in brown underglaze. Crackled white, slightly green, celadon glaze on interior and exterior except for foot ring. Unglazed foot is orange but clay body is white-gray. Large chip and crack in bottom of foot ring. Black accretion on foot ring and orange glaze-like globs on foot fired on with clay flake. Thickly potted. |
