Description | An iron horse bit with stamped silver plates on the cheek shanks. The lower shanks have short silver plates and the upper shanks (purchases) have a wide band of silver stamped with swirls with tails. The mouth bar or bit is straight with an elongated port with a spade tip. A metal disk roller or cricket is inside the port. A curb chain is attached between the two cheek rings at the upper ends of the shanks. A slobber chain is attached between the two rings at the lower ends of the shanks along with two other chains that extend out from the rings and would attach to reins. |
