Description

A 109 seeds strung on a type of plant fiber (raffia??) twisted strand. This strand is knotted in two different places aproximately 4 cm apart.

Used on camel. Harness chain with 14 bells for camel. Bells have oval mouths and are made of brass or similar alloy. The bells are in 2 sizes. The 5 larger ones have a raised lip around the mouth and a lap about 5 cm from the upper end; the smaller bells have only the lip around the mouth. Strikers are cylindrical castings with knobs on the striking end and a hole at the other for attaching inside bell.

Condition: fair- some small bells have holes in sides (possible originally present)
