Description | Rather dark, heavy wood. Ends rounded off. Bottom is smallest, flares up to portion which is carved and then contracts again. Carving is shallow, the same motifs-a face and geometric designs-on both sides; some of the designs are continuous around the staff. Traces of red paint in the incisions. May have been a club? |
