Description

Three dimensional puppet with wooden torso, wooden head, wooden arms, articulated at shoulder and elbows, cotton skirt from waist down. Puppet is held and operated by a wooden stick which passes through a hole in the torso and into the base of the head and by sticks attached to the hands. Blue green face, rest of skin gold. Bulging round red eyes, hooked nose. Hair curving to top of head, with crown, ear ornaments, and garuda mungkur. red and pink ornaments at upper arms and wrists. Wrists flexed. Long black velvet chest cover with narrow gold braid around edges, gold band at neck. Blue-green ad gold brocade sash. Batik skirt: dark blue with white dots, light brown and white flowers, butterflies, etc. Character is Antareja.
