Description | Game piece with the character for soldier (兵) carved on either side in red. One of a collection of 30 game pieces for playing janggi (장기) also known as Korean chess. A typical set consists 32 pieces including two generals, four chariots (車), four elephants (象), four horses (馬), four cannons (包), four guards (士), and ten soldiers (卒,兵). Each piece consists of a circular shaped piece of wood with either a red or blue Chinese character on both sides. Two pieces are missing, a red elephant and a red cannon. |
