Description | Black birch wood with red and black painted design inside spoon bowl. According to Tlingit carver Nathan Jackson the design probably represents Raven (the face in the bowl) followed by the wind (the elements extending from the bowl onto the handle). The spoon was probably little used since the painted design would have dissolved in oil. |
