Description | Used by a Muslim priest (imam). Small round clay beads dyed yellow. Ends joined with a small elongated bead and tasselled. Ninety-seven round beads, four thin, and one elongated (Cf. 48-29-212 and 213.) A Muslim rosary (of 100 beads - or 33, 66, or 99) is used for counting the ninety-nine attributes of God (Allah), or for the recital of any act of devotion. |
